I am a special education teacher with over 10 years experience. I have taught special education up to middle school and general education elementay. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Special Education. I am also a classroom educator level Orton-Gilliangham trainee (I have the certificate to prove it). I have my degree in Elementary Education. I have had experience teaching large class sizes, but I have also spent a lot of time in small group reading instruction, and I have worked in small group math. I tutored a kindergarten girl to improve her phonemic awareness. I tutored Language Arts in elementary school after school hours. I worked at a day care for 5 years and helped students with their homework after school.
I believe in meeting students at their level of need, and mastering the skills needed in order to move onto higher level skills. I believe in teaching students how to develop their critical thinking skills, and teaching them the concepts needed to succeed in school and life.
