I was raised as a bilingual speaker, Italian & English, and was always fascinated by the workings of language. After my discharge from the Air Force in Australia, while studying for a BA in English & History, I began teaching and tutoring in this field. I was drawn to the Linguistics aspect of my study and after comopleting a BEd degree, I went on to specialize in this subject in my MA. I now speak several languages. Although my specialty is in Secondary education, I have taught in primary elementary and at College level. I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a young child I was diagnosed with dyslexia. I have worked hard to to get my degree and have overcome many challenges. I know that it is possible for all the achieve their goals if they are given the opportunity to be taught in ways which they best learn. I personally had to discover my own learning style. I have tutored students since my undergraduate years. I continue to give back to community through many projects. The sorority I am apart of hold many tutoring sessions to students.
