Although I am a traditional student, high school was a difficult time for me and I felt largely misunderstood by my teachers. As such, I have committed to creating a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable to be themselves. Upon graduation from college in the 80's, I taught adult education for three years. I then entered the business world, where I had a successful career in sales and operations management. In 2009, I chose to leave my corporate career and reenter education because of a desire to utilize my strengths and do something that helps people.
