UK based Early Learning Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
I have worked with young children ages 3-11 in a school setting for the last 8 years. I have taught phonics, early reading, early math skills and writing skills within the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Most recently the UK promoted learning through fun and play which added more songs and interaction with children ages 2-5. Working as a Spanish Interpreter, I work with pre-school aged children. I work with them during their therapy time, especially in Speech Therapy. I enjoy being able to help these young students overcome many obstacles that they are facing. I am very patient with them and considerate of their different needs. I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student. As a tutor, I have worked with many different types of students and I found a way to relate the information to something they were interested in. I believe all students are capable of learning the material; it just has to be presented in a way they understand.
I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry.
