I am currently the Sixth Grade History Teacher at Williamsburg Collegiate Charter School. My responsibilities at WCCS include developing rigorous objectives for the Sixth Grade History curriculum. Moreover, I serve as a Special Education Guided Reading Instructor for eight, Sixth grade students. I have experience working with children with learning differences both in and out of the classroom setting. In addition, I served as Co-Director of Bear Buddies in Brunswick, ME. for three years. I completed my bachelor degree in English in three and a half years at Bucknell University, and this has trained me in writing, literary analysis, and oral communication. While at Bucknell, I spent four months tutoring children at a local elementary school in grades 3-5 in math, science, and reading. I, also, completed Bucknell’s Writing Center four month training course for tutoring in all types of writing. I spent a full year tutoring peers, underclassmen, and even graduate students in their writing process. Finally, for the last three years, I have taught techniques of interpreting the Bible to college and high school students at my local church in both group and one-on-one settings.
