As a mother of two young children, I want to see all children exceed. Children learn through positive reinforcement and by slowly building confidence, as his or her work improves. Childen should not be made to feel inferior, but need approriate teachings to fit his or her personalities. All it takes is a little confidence to start off with, keep encouraging and praising, and this can be achieved when the tutor works with the child based on his individual strength to learn. I am a very patient person and realize that people understand things differently. Ideally, I try to focus on the logic and thought process that goes in to doing the work. I believe that once the thought process is mastered, the student can progress and solve more complex problems on their own.
I hold a BS in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. My background is not in education however I have experience as a teacher. I have been a water safety instructor and lifeguard training instructor in which I have taught children from toddler age up to college age.
