I have been working with special needs students with various disabilities for 10 years. I have worked with students ranging from ADHD/ADD to those who are bed ridded and need toileting assistance. I have also had to accommodate with feeding and those who are transitioning out of high school. I can teach students how to read and write and how to ride the city but to where they need to go and make it back home. I have also taught cooking and hygiene skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a tutor of almost every class I took in high school, college, and even graduate school. I was always acting as a teacher figure to my friends, and my peers. I usually tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. After I earned my BS in Chemistry, I totored K-12, and taught ESL to foreign students at South Florida Community College. To make my teaching more effective, I usually psyche my student to see how the mood to learn is. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without.
