young tutor that works well with children

I have 5 nephews and a daughter of my own shop I'm great with children. I was an honors grad and I also became a certified nursing assistant before I even graduated high school. I'm great in public speaking and have had many speeches myself with an audience of over one hundred. I do know the main signs as well as the alphabet for sign language because I have a brother and sister whom are deaf. Also I have always been great in mathematics. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without. To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing. After graduating from high school with high honors, I struggled to make the transition from that rigid environment, to one of endless possibilities. I weighed the pros and cons of a graphic design or teaching major, taking classes in both the first several years, until I discovered my true passion: writing. Once I began taking courses towards that degree, I never looked back.
