I enjoy teaching children and watching them learn and become a better student. While in college, I tutored students in high school in lower level math and reading. I also taught swimming to high school students. During my tenure in industry, I was able to train less experienced employees in measuring tools and their use (calipers, Mics, feeler gauges, etc,) so that they might get a better position in the company and I received accolades from the home office for my efforts.
I believe in being an active teacher helping an interactive student. Let the student be a major part of the program and I will be there to guide and correct if necessary. I'm currently attending American Military University, with less than a year to graduate with a bachelor degree in Public Health, which allows me to have a better understanding in health science related subjects. I do not have one teaching style. Just as people have individual learning styles, I adapt my teaching style to the student and to the course that I would be tutoring. It is important that all students graduate with all the knowledge, skills, abilities, and values to have a happy and productive life. In order to have this happen, I do not believe that one teaching style fits all. As a tutor I would show my students how to properly do a task, and then I will help them master the task. It is important the student understand and can independently demonstrate what they have learned.
