My teach style is different for each pupil. Everyone learns differently and once I get a feel for how they learn easiest, I conform my teaching style accordingly, using personal interests and incentives if progress is made.
I have throughout my entire grade school career been both a tutor and a mentor. As young as in nine years old in fourth grade I was selected to tutor kindergarten children in mathematics. My comments on tutoring Elementary : I have taught K for 13 years and have an understanding of what is expected in the early grades.

I have taught K for 13 years. I understand the value of one on one time, and that students are all different. Recently I spent 10 months teaching missionary children in Uganda. There I taught 4th, 5th, and 7th graders. Students in my class have had vision issues, autism, aspergers, and ADD/ADHD. With each situation, I have evaluated where the student was and revamped how I was teaching to meet their needs.
I like to see where the student is and meet him there. Look at what needs to be taught and discover the best way to impart that learning to the individual child.
