Genetics is one of my top subjects! I have been a genetics counselor for 13 years. Masters degree in genetic counseling from Arcadia University. I am also certified as a genetic counselor. Worked as a genetic counselor in a prenatal setting, metabolics, newborn screening, and molecular genetics. My expertise is in metabolic genetics but all human genetics is in my range of experience. I can also assist with the certification exam for genetic counseling.

I believe students learn in different ways so I will make sure to provide different formats to allow the student to achieve learning success. I graduated from IUP with a degree in Biology Education. I am certified in Biology and Middle School Science. I taught for one semester at Central Bucks School District where I taught Academic Biology, Astronomy and Oceanography. I then taught two years at Gateway School District where I taught 8th grade physical science. I now have a permanent position at Yough School District where I teach 7th grade Life Science. I am also currently pursuing my Masters in Education.

A Little Bit About Me...

There are 2 things that I’ve known since I was a child, I am fascinated by the study of biological mechanisms and I enjoy helping others. As an undergraduate at Allegheny College, I excelled in the biological sciences and was selected to be a teaching assistant for the Cellular Biology & Molecular Biology courses. Last spring I was asked to guest lecture at Central Catholic High School where I introduced the students to basic cancer biology. Most recently, I have taught a Microbiology course at CCAC.
