I am traditional in my teaching style.I can be non-traditional once I figure out the learning style of the student I work with.
I have been teaching English since 1974. My experience is in teaching learning disabled, accelerated, and students in the middle range. I have taught grades 6-12 along with adult education. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Very successful at teaching not just the basics but also the conventions and joy of Shakespeare.

I combine various styles from "old school" to best practices to differentiated offers.
I have taught nearly all areas of language arts including, but not limited to, ECA/GQE remediation, SAT/ACT prep, beginning-intermediate-advance composition, AP English/literature, poetry, American literature, British literature, drama, speech, and school newspaper.
