I received my Bachelor's degree in 1989 and worked as an assistant engineer in Binghamton NY until I started my masters program at SUNY Cortland. I have held Physics, Earth science, Chemistry and Biology appointments in the years that followed in a variety of School districts throughout the state. I have spent five years tutoring and 17 teaching, including 12 years of summer school. The best thing about teaching and tutoring science is that it easily transfers to all of the other disciplines. While attending a small private university in upstate New York, I pursued a degree in Chemistry with a minor in English. Throughout my education I've had a drive to teach. While earning my BS in chemistry with minor in biology I assisted many fellow students by acting as both a laboratory assistant and as a tutor in general chemistry and organic chemistry.
