Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I started tutoring in my teens helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 as well as Creative Writing. I was educated at the University of Reading, Berkshire, England. After college I took the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in Brighton, East Sussex, England. I was fortunate to teach English to a wide range of students from all over the world, at language schools in Great Britain.
I worked with students who wanted to learn conversational English. I used newspapers, magazines, BBC radio and books on tape to facilitate understanding of the language.
