Shakespeare is one of my top subjects!

My teaching style is best described as modern Socratic method. Questioning to elicit critical thinking is the essence of education. Many of my students have thanked me in later years for teaching the principles of clarity, simplicity, brevity and humanity in writing, as those principles haave led to job promotions and advanced degrees.
As a college English professor and high school English teacher with an MA in English, I have had the opportunity to help many young people improve their writing and critical thinking skills. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Mostly from my knowledge with theater, but I have studied some Shakespeare in English courses as well.

I like to see examples of what the person is having difficulty with in order to pinpoint problems and then work on them from there.
I am currently an English major, specifying in creative writing, at Virginia Tech. In high school, I took both of the offered AP English courses and passed with a 4 on both. In college, almost every class I have taken has been English-oriented, with regards to either literature or writing. When it comes to helping others, I have been editing friends' papers some in high school and multiple times weekly in college. I am able to find what they are doing wrong and constructively advise ways to fix their problems with writing.

As a college graduate, I decided to pursue graduate studies in the field of Historical Archaeology and History.
