I have been working with students in a reading program at a Title I school for 2 years; working with second language students teaching them the English language. I have taught Math and Science for 4th and 5 grade using the Foss system. The Science program was a hands on experiments, writing and keeping a science notebook. Evaluations were given at the end of each lesson segment involving the Foss Systems. Taught 3rd grade all subject for 5 years teaching all subjects. I have been recognized for classroom management above expectations for the school. Students were taught with creativity and experience using hands on manipulatives and differenciated lessons. I believe children learn through experiences. I encourage children to work through what they are having difficulties with and guide them through the correct process. I believe just telling a child what to do doesn't actually give them an opportunity to process everything completely.
