My comments on tutoring Vocals : Although I have not had a lot of individual vocal instruction, I have taken part in many musicals and was in my choir and show choir throughout high school. I also studied music education and musical theatre for a bit in college.

I absolutely love performing and any aspect of theatre. I love learning and growing in my theatre knowledge and experiences. I have been performing in some way my whole world and love to share my passion with others. I also love English and Shakespeare; obviously these both go hand in hand with theatre!
I do not have a definitive teaching style. When teaching someone, I usually try to adapt to their learning style, and if they do not have a strategy that works, I help them develop a good learning style and get comfortable with it. I like to think I make learning difficult things more fun and approachable.

After completing grad school, I was a pre-k teacher for 2 years. I learned how to really teach through play, while considering the children developmental appropriate age. My goal is to help each child learn as much as possible but at the same time enjoy learning. Children need lots of love and attention. I rely on God's wisdom and strength every day because each day is a new experience or a new situation. I use games to help students learn. I pray for my students that God will help them enjoy learning.
I taught in the inner city of Pittsburgh as reading tutor. In Columbus I taught music, reading, special education, and all other subjects from Preschool through high school. I tutored Whitehall high school students in their homes. I enjoyed teaching almost every day in different school districts for years. I have a masters degree in school counseling which has enabled me to understand the needs of most students.
