For the bulk of my academic and professional career I have mentored or supervised colleagues or post-doctoral fellows in the natural sciences. While I have obtained academic training in Chemistry and Biology (BS), Biochemistry (MS and Ph.D) and neuroscience (post-doctoral research) I have studied and utilized many additional areas of science including, immunology, molecular biology, organic chemistry, toxicology, epidemiology. In addition, I have developed extensive knowledge of electronics, computer programming and robotics. I have taught college level chemistry and AP chemstry at John Marshall high school in Richmond. My students have always had very good SOL scores.I have good knowledge of both the subjects I am certified in because of my vast education. I have an earned bachelor degree in biology, chemistry and nutrition and I have a master's in Genetics. I have post graduate teaching license in biology and chemistry and an intense desire to educate.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary and will be returning to finish my Masters Degree at Georgetown University in January of 2011. I graduated with a 3.2 GPA from William and Mary and currently have a 3.7 GPA at Georgetown. During my time at William and Mary I worked as a tutor for Calculus, Biology and Chemistry. I am a very driven individual and always looking for ways to educate myself. I graduated from Purdue University with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Physics and Industrial Hygiene. I have had to work on my personal and educational skills working with this degree at a Nuclear Power Plant. Currently I am working on a doctorate degree in Dentistry and enjoy it very much. I have mainly tutored students in Math, Biology and Spanish.
Teaching is a special skill that needs a lot of patience. I think with positive thinking and encouragement a child is always willing to learn. Also each child is unique and treating them that way will result in the best situation.
