A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher in middle school, teaching art was fun and exciting. Until I began to subsititute, did I feel that I could teach and wanted to help children learn. I taught for two years with being a subsitute for nearly four years. I am working on my masters in elementary education.

I have six children of my own and know that every child learns differently, even when they come from the same family. I believe the majority of children can master the material they are presented in school, but it is a matter of time. Many children take a little more time to understand the concepts and master the skills needed to move on to the next level. Sadly many of these children aren't given the time to do it and are just passed on to the next level. Teaching is an art that needs to be perfected based on each individual child’s needs. I am a very demanding teacher, but at the same time always fair and give positive reinforcement while the student is learning and of course, when they have obtained their goals.
