English is one of my top subjects! I earned a degree in English in college.

I prefer to relate things to the real world. For instance, when teaching anything dealing with Greek Mythology, I like to pick out something from the myth that is relevant to today (like from "The Iliad," the character Ajax is known as being stronger than Greece, and the soap brand Ajax has the slogan of being "stronger than grease").
I have loved English since I was in middle school. I went to college with the desire to graduate with a degree in English Education, but realized (after almost three years in this program) that the education program at my school was completely disorganized. I decided to drop education and pursue a degree in solely English with a special interest in literature. English is one of my top subjects!

I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I have also received a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology, and have since completed my 2nd year of medical school. I have always had a strong affinity for math and english as well. I have a published thesis paper that was constructed and presented as required for my masters curriculum. Summer Reading/English Tutor

I tutored two boys ages 6 and 9 in the areas of reading and spelling. I have been tutoring them on and off during the school year for the past 2 years. I also teach English classes once a week during the school year at the Immigration Center of America (ICA) in Farmville, VA during the school year. I teach basic English and grammar to adults who are non-native English speakers.
Fun! I try my best to make tutoring sessions interactive and engaging so that kids enjoy learning. I pick topics, books, vocabulary that is interesting to the student, when possible.

Fresh high school graduate so most material is still fresh..I love working with people so tutoring should be fun ...nothing much that I can't do or won't understand if you need me just ask I'm always here to help ! I'm good at math to a certain extent if you have the formulas though we 100% but if not I sure hope you have Google !
