As an Honor roll student, a student on the Dean's list I was lucky to have graduated early. I taught six graders through opelia. I have also tutored a master's Student through her Statistics. Currently tutoring a student via online on her Senior Algebra for her Liberal Arts degree. I will hold a BA degree come december of 2010. Where I then plan to student teach and obtain a teaching certification.
I use all the main teaching tools. Both hands on and visually for those students who need different tools. I love to interact with children and adults helping them through their classes to better their future. I also enjoy having a hand in their future success. In May 2010, I will receive my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, with minor studies in Psychology and Arts Education. While studying, I had the opportunity to tutor children in the America Reads program at various elementary schools. I also had the privilege tutoring and assistant teaching in general education and art classrooms in the elementary setting. My extensive grammatical skills were gained from writing numerous research papers and education papers, as well as studying foreign languages. I beleive children learn hands on and it is an apporach to find what technique works for each child. I am patient, easy-going, get along well with others and with my educational background be a great candidate for this position.

When I sit down with a tutee, my goal is to guide them without giving the answers away. It is important for students to reach the sense of satisfaction that one gets when he or she solves a problem or overcomes an obstacle on their own.
