I am patient and thorough. I strive for clarity, especially in teaching complex or subtle subjects.
In May I will graduate with a BA in Chemistry and will be 3 credit hrs away from a BA in Mathematics at the University of Tulsa. I have also completed a minor in English and am 3 credit hours away from a minor in Physics. I have twice presented research at the American Chemical Society national conference in San Diego and New Orleans. During my time at TU, I assisted teaching in General Chem I and II labs as well as in Organic Chem I and II labs. I have tutored college students in chemistry, math, writing and lower level physics. I have been an assistant at TUs excellent University School for gifted children, an early childhood through 8th grade school. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from NSU with a BS in Chemistry as well as minors in Biology and Math. I have very good writing skills not only because of writing lab reports but I worked for the university in the community relations office. I helped write many letters and plans detailing events we had. I have tutored fellow college students in math and science for the past 4 years.
What makes me a great teacher is that I have patience and the understanding to work with anyone. I explain things in a way that whomever I am tutoring can relate to and benefit from the most. I enjoy teaching, conversely I also have enjoyed my experiences tutoring to date. Working one on one is what some children (and adults) require if only from time to time to "get through" something they are struggling with academically. Over time I have become more and more patient, and have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and believe that if a person wants to succeed then they are more than halfway to their destination. I have also seen that if you can influence this and help kids "want" that success, it can happen as well.
Presently I hold a certificate for Physics and chemistry and I'm planning on Certifying in Math (Algebra and geometry) here in Oklahoma.
