I can relate best with the student/youth.

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. I feel that I didn't fully utilize my strengths in school as I could have, so I would love to share that with those who need it now.
Very relaxed, easy going, friendly. I feel less pressure and non stressful settings help students learn better. They can relate to a younger person who is more in tune with youth and someone who understands them.

I enjoy watching the students learn and "get it" and see the spark of interest that wasn't there before. I understand that some students have difficulty learning in a classroom format and some have personal problems that prevent them from attending public schools. I am willing to help if the student is willing to work and learn and wants to better him or herself. I consider myself patient and want to help them excel.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology earned in 1970 at Lynchburg College and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health from East Tennessee University earned in 1979. I have taught sixth and seventh grade math, science and physical education and high school biology (three years total).
