I enjoy helping people learn something new. I think anyone can do anything they put their mind to. I would allow the student time to get to know me so they would feel comfortable with me. Students sometimes feel too vulnerable to try things when they don't know someone because they do not want to make mistakes. I would let them know that the only way to get better at something is to make mistakes so they can learn from those mistakes by making the appropriate corrections. Confidence is key. I love children. While attending high school and college I babysat several children from four months old up to 13 years old. During My senior year of high school I was a teachers aid for A freshman level art class and would often work one on one with students who had questions or needed some extra help. I don't have any professional experience with teaching children but I would love to gain some.
