I began my tutoring experience in the fall of 2009 with a program called Breakthrough Manchester. It serves underprivileged students in the area who do not have the resources to succeed. They ranged from grade 5 to 8. With Breakthrough I worked one-on-one with students as well as in a classroom setting in which I conducted my own lessons. I helped students with a variety of subjects such as science, math, social studies, geography, and even organizational skills. I was the kid in the back of math class who was always drawing instead of paying attention. My early focus on the arts gave my parents a few gray hairs when report cards were issued but in the long run, that same focus has enabled me to build a very successful career.
