The Omega School, an alternative hiigh school that occupied a few rooms in an an old office buiilding, helped high risk students who couldn't fit into a regular high school environment obtain their GED. Some students were gifted but unable to adjust to the regimens of regular high school. Others stole cars or acted out in other ways. My professional tutoring experience began in 1986, when I started work as a graduate teaching assistant in physics. Since then I have taught physics and mathematics--from counting to calculus--in students' homes, in K-12 school and at university.
