Teaching is an extremely important job that must be handled with care and concern for the student. I firmly believe it is important to adapt to the students individual learning style and habits, therefore, my style is to adjust to the best method necessary in order to achieve success while learning. Many students are visual learners and prefer a hands on experience, whereas others could prefer oral, written or other teaching techniques in order to process the information. My teaching style varies based on the child that I am working with that time. I have worked with children with all different kinds of learning styles, so I have learned over the years that you have to be flexible and mindful of the specific child that you are working with. Through my experience I have learned to be more patient, understanding and fair when I am working with the children as well as when I am grading their assignments. During the time that I worked with tutoring companies, I was able to tutor students at their homes as well as on the weekends in a school based setting. I feel that I do my best work with Elementary age children. I like to make education fun and easily accessible. I love using games and hands on activities to teach lessons. My 5th grade teacher made such an impact on me that I have kept her on as a huge part of my life and I want to be that way with my students.
