My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : I taught Trigonometry on the high school level for over ten years

I have taught both high school and college level courses. I have also had a job in which I helped create a data base of the K-12 Objectives in Mathematics for forty-nine states. I also have worked as a quality assurance reviewer for the development of Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus curriculum for online high school courses. I have tutoring for the Arizona AIMS tests and currently am tutoring an 16 hour review of the mathematics portion of the GED exam.
I am able to break a complex problem into small, discrete steps which the students seem to appreciate. An approach I use in my teaching is the I rarely will tell the student outright what to do to get the answer or just what the answer is. Math was never an issue for me, I was always ahead of the curve in my math scores, and when I got the chance to relate that math ability to economics, it all made sense. Economics is second-nature to me. Economics puts calculus into real-world situations. Breezed through it in high school and first couple years of college, realized it would be an excellent thing for me to major in. Economics is all about logic, and being a logical person, economics always came easy. When you think logically, you are thinking economically.
