Hi there, I have more than three years of experience in tutoring/teaching general chemistry at Humboldt State University. I started teaching supplemental chemistry courses as a sophomore and through my experiences I was able to bring the passing rate of my chemistry class from an average of 70% to 80%. I have loads of handouts and practice exams on many subjects that I have personally made in order to help students practice the subject of chemistry. During my studies I have taken many Physics and mathematics courses needed for the degree and feel comfortable with tutoring math up to Calc I and general physics. This really depends on the subject, however, I like to do drills to keep basic skills sharp, and to learn new skills. Each student is different, and will need slightly adjusted methodology. I believe that most subjects are not difficult to master. Most problems come from "under learning" the subject. Repetition may work for some subjects, but with math the student needs to understand WHY a process works. Once this is learned, the rest comes rather easily.
