My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. In addition to my undergraduate degree, I earned my law degree in 2010. While enrolled, my reading and writing skills were honed. I was required to demonstrate proficiency in legal writing as well as an understanding of my intended audience. Grammar and spelling were expected to be top notch. These skills were applied to research papers (30 + pages) and essays (4-10 pages). Additionally, review of class notes during the semester is a must. I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.

Since acheiving my first accounting designation from the UK in 1991 I have taught accounting and Business Law to adults until 1998 when I migrated to the US. While here I was succesful in passing my CPA exams and I am now a member in good stabding with AICPA and Delaware Society of CPAs. I have been tutoring my relatives kids in math and science for over 4 years. One child is now in High School while 2 are in Middle School. Under my tutelage, the middle schoool kids have been able to make the honor roll whenever they put in practice what is taught. The usual success rate in making the honor roll is 70%.
