Hi! I am a certified math teacher with 20 years of experience working with students from elementary school through college. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Education also. I am very comfortable teaching all different age groups and enjoy working with students one-on-one. I have experience with students with disabilities, which helps me to target problem areas for every type of student, not just those with on-paper disabilities. I tutor students at the high school level for math and English studies. I do my homework for each student, helping to assess where they miscue and how I can intervene. I make things more simple and make students' scores increase.
I prefer a more Socratic approach, whereby I question a student on "why" they are doing something rather than just repeating what they've been told or working from rote memory.
