A Little Bit About Me...

Recognizing that each person has his/her own learning style, I emphasize "application" of material learned. I do this primarily by providing examples of information taught and require my students to do the same. My approach to teaching is to create a friendly environment with positive expectations to enhance the learning experience.
Having been devoted to the welfare of children and families and valuing education highly throughout my life, I find tutoring a satisfying occupation. After vounteering my services for many years, I attained formal degrees in education, psychology, and counseling, with very high GPAs. I taught psychology and sociology for several years and have also tutored K-college individually and in groups for many years.

I believe in a multi facet teaching style. Children learn by many different ways. Some children learn by audio, visual, or kinetic. So, I would teach in a style that suited by the student's needs. I love teaching and working with children. I understand differen conditions such as Autism and Attention Deficit Disorder. I am a patient, friendly, and fun individual. Like I tell my own children, I believe that teaching and learning is a two-way street.
