Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have a Masters of Art Education from The Ohio State University. I have taught Elementary visual arts for over 33 years, I am proficient and able to teach painting, drawing, print making, relief sculpture, weaving, and other fine arts children would enjoy. I also would incorporate art history and introduce artists who are relevant to the concept being taught.

I am a retired Art Teacher, with a current Ohio Teaching license and 33 years experience teaching Elementary Visual Arts. I am interested in teaching art to students in a smaller setting and provide more individual training and art experiences. I love children and love children’s art, and feel some children best express themselves through the arts.
The arts teach children to make judgments about their environment without a right or wrong answer, and that there are many ways to look and solve a problems. Art is a way for children to express themselves without words in the literal form or numbers as only measured on standardized tests. When I first attended Wilmington College, I was in early childhood education. I completed a whole semester of student teaching and volunteered for tutoring after school. I finally had decided that teaching was not for me because I wanted more of an office setting job so i decided to major in business management. I have decided that I want to pursue in subsitute teaching so that I am able to help children and spend more time with my newborn.
Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing!
