Over the Top (and not too expensive)

My teaching style has always been about quality. I know that whatever I teach today, will last forever with my students. So if I don't teach, they wouldn't learn anything and I never wanted anyone to ever say "She didn't teach us anything while we were in her class." I also know that I have a job to come to every day and so do the students. I want to want to come to work and I want my students to want to want to come to school, but still learn. My comments on tutoring Spelling : As a journalist who routinely faces deadlines that loom only five minutes away, I have never had the luxury of casually running a spell-check or referencing a dictionary. Internalizing the correct spelling of countless words serves as an indispensable skill in my profession. And for what it's worth, I know the tricks needed to assume spelling mastery, which I suppose accounts for my having advanced to regional spelling-bee competition as a youth.

I am foremost a writer whose 38-year, award-winning career is rooted in journalism. However, I also have an extensive teaching background.
