I have a BS in biology, however I have a passion for teaching. In 2006, I was a Teach Tennessee fellow. This program's intent is to fast track degreed professionals into an education career. I spent some time teaching in the public school system. I had to resign my postion, due to family a family situation. I continued my work as a substitute teacher. I love working with students and appreciate the moment when they finally understand a concept with which they have struggled. I am able to devise a teaching strategy based on the individual's needs. I am adept at taking abstract ideas and placing them into a real world setting. I am patient and understanding. I will cater my teaching to meet a child's needs.
I believe that all children have a willingness and capacity to learn and at times they may just get lost in the system.
