My comments on tutoring Jazz Dancing : I have roughly 19 years experience with Jazz/Modern/Hip-Hop dance. I began taking lessons at age two and continued dancing until I was a senior in college (with the UNC-CH Starheels Dance Company). I also have three years of dance teaching experience for children and adults of all ages, both in private lessons and group lessons. I have choreographed dances for competitions and recitals, as well as offered additional coaching for children outside of normal class time.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I have also completed internships with the local NPR station, WUNC, and with the organization AGRADU (Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda). I love working with children. I've taught acting at the Durham Arts Council for three years. The duties from that position included directing students in performances which I helped them create. The plays were written around themes chosen by the camp director. So, in essence, the children and I would research those themes and develop stories which I would then turn into plays using my expertise. A Little Bit About Me...

As the oldest of three children, I have informally tutored for many years. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I worked with a community college student and aided him in passing his Algebra course. My interests in education are diverse.
