I recently completed a two-month internship in TAS/OTS in EY this summer. From this experience, I gained valuable knowledge in the advisory area. I participated in a mobile internet App project for a startup technical company. The major goal for the project is to do financial forecasting for the company. In the group, my job was to help create a business plan report and translate from Chinese to English. I also worked on cash flow forecasting. For the purpose of effectiveness, and to be as organized as possible, I like to start each lesson with material review time. The amount of time spent reviewing depends entirely on two things: 1) the level of the students aptitude, and 2) the amount of material that has been and needs to be covered. If the student has an exam or quiz pending in the near future, the material on the test/quiz gets priority. However, since many subjects in both high school and college have as a requirement a cumulative mid term and/or final exam, it is always in the best interests of all that additional time be spent touching on previously learned topics.

Between the years of 1978 and 1984 I was a monitor and then a supervisor in a small Christian school using the ACE curriculum. They have various programmed learning booklets teaching all of the major subjects. You are actually more of a tutor than a teacher if you work with these booklets. I have experience in the four major areas of learning which are English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. I was with students from first through twelfth grade. While I was college I had occasion to take two years of college level English and also statistics up through 600 level. The English helped when I was writing my Master’s Thesis, it was 120 pages long. My committee found it to be well written. The statistics was the basis for the thesis.
