English ESOL is one of my top subjects! I have 7 years experience to English Language Learners in grades K through 5th. I am certified to teach ESL in kindergarten through high school. Education has always been my field of interest. When my children were young (8 and 4), I've been teaching in order to match my schedule with their school hours and vacations. With French as my mother's tongue and because I studied in French, I was very excited about the opportunity to serve the Foreign Langage Program initiated by the PTA at Montgomery County Public Schools in MD. I've been teaching within this program until I moved in Western Maryland recently. In parallel, I was a substitute teacher with the county. I passed the PRAXIS tests(I, II, III). I taught also with BELL program in after school program to help students in DC public schools. I worked as well as accounting and went to college to get additional credits for the CPA exam. The past 8 years I have worked for the Montgomery County and Frederick County school systems as a substitute teacher in middle and high schools.. An area of extensive experience was with the special needs students at both Linganore and Walkersville High schools. I taught a class in self-esteem skills for the SUCCESS program for Frederick County. I had a fair amount of experience with the ESOL program in Montgomery County in 2007.
