SAT - Math is one of my top subjects!

I am very patient and I make sure the student thoroughly understands a topic before moving on. I motivate the student to succeed and teach good study skills and test taking skills. Normally, I use the student's textbooks and classroom materials during our lessons. For standardized tests, I use prep books, such as Princeton Review. I like to take students step-by-step through the process of finding answers to complicated questions. I am a strong believer in teaching the student to think for his or herself. If I'm asked a question, I prefer to help the student find the solution rather than simply give the answer. Through college, I learned that the best way to absorb information fast is to find patterns. This makes for easier recall and allows for the building of an information network on which the student can infinitely append.
I have informally tutored many throughout my time at Princeton University in many different fields within Chemistry. A Little Bit About Me...

Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer. I possess the same talents when it comes to proper grammar. I also teach Catholisim to the 8th grade once per week for 2 hours. I prepare them for the sacrament of confirmation.
