I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. I have two boys of my own (age 10 and 14) and have been successful in helping them achieve the best they can. I have been teaching kids as a substitute for many years and went back to school in my middle 30's to become a teacher. Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. I follow the curriculum. First I go over the material that needs to be taught and I study it as if I were a student who didn't understand. Then, I create lesson plans that are interactive, fun, and modern. I do believe in older methods that work, for example grammar worksheets and journal writing every day to encourage practice.
