Shakespeare is one of my top subjects! Over the last year, I have developed a very strong passion for Shakespeare. I have taken multiple Shakespeare-specific classes and received A's. I also frequently study his work in my free time and run a blog dedicated to Shakespearean critical analysis.

I am new to the tutoring field but am very passionate about the idea of helping others learn. I am currently minoring in English and am planning on furthering my education by obtaining a Master's in Shakespeare after receiving my Bachelor's in 2016. I'm friendly and cheerful and like to have discussions with my students about their papers and their other interests. Typically, I'll read over papers, asking questions as I go and making comments as I go along. I do like to mark on papers so that changes can be more easily made. I generally try to think of new and creative ways to explain grammatical concepts and general writing concepts if I'm not being clear. Basically, my tutoring sessions involve a lot of conversation. I do also offer strictly online editing; in that case, I will use Word and create a document with comments. I also use the Track Changes feature so that my clients can see the kinds of changes I've made; I'll add comments explaining why I made those changes.

My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I taught Macbeth to twelfth grade high school students while student teaching at Berry College and have an comprehensive understanding of Shakespeare plays. I can explain the language and stories in a context that any teenager could understand.

I graduated from McIntosh High School in Fayette County and studied English and Secondary Education at Berry College. I student taught for a year at Rome High School before graduating and becoming a substitute teacher in Fayette County. I have completed three long-term substitute positions, two of which put me in charge of an entire classroom with all the responsibilities of a full-time teacher. Additionally, I worked at Aloha-USA Mind Math with Elementary Students as an English Teacher and occasionally a Math teacher.
I opt for making the material relatable to my students, which causes it to be more interesting and meaningful. When something is relevant, it is a lot more fun and kids are much more willing to want to learn, which is, of course, ideal.
