I have always been very enthusiastic about learning and always find myself helping others to discover a deeper understanding of a subject. During my time tutoring math, I discovered that there is a necessary balance to allow the student time to process the material without allowing them to get frustrated and giving up. I developed a heart for young people at an early age, as my parents were missionaries to Native Americans. I truly believe that education has changed my life and promote higher education. I graduated cum laude from Baylor University, in May 2009, with a bachelor's in Professional Writing. My G.P.A. was 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. During my time at Baylor I discovered a love for history, and graduated one class short of a history minor. I worked as an editing transcriptionist at Baylor's Institute for Oral History. Working with Seeds of Hope Publishers, as a volunteer editorial assistant and junior journalist, was also a wonderful opportunity to hone my editing and composition skills.
