I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored people in math before. Their grades have ranged from 7th-10th grade. I have also helped friends in classes in college that have to do with statistics and other math classes. When I was in high school, the highest math class I had ever taken was Calculus BC. This was the highest math class that my school offered so I believe that I could people pass their math classes in high school and possibly College. In my experience, I do not teach but simply assist people who need it. In college I helped my friends by explaining how to correct their writing, and offering advice. I am patient and willing to help as best as I can without being condescending towards students.
My experience is more hands-on and personal, I suppose. I love history and write constantly, in addition to having a great interest in photography and television.
