I have been a tutor for the last few years, and I officially became a level 1 and level 2 certifiet tutor through the college reading and learning associations. I have worked with students and peers in basic math, and algebra subjects as well as biology and advanced science courses. I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Biology and minors in chemistry and psychology. I graduated with honors and I am also a former student athlete. I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. In a tutoring situation there is usually the immediate need (to pass a test) and the long term need to be able to succeed on their own. I try to balance these two goals but the guidance of the parents is most critical.
