I love working with students. As a teacher I enjoy the learning process and love watching the students discover new concepts and ideas. As as school counsleor I assisted students in working at their emotional and challenging behaviors. In both positions I strongly believe each student has the potential to learn. I teach to the different learn styles of my students.
When I was working as a secretary I knew I wanted to further my education. I returned to school and completed my bachelor of science in education. I have been an elementary teacher for over 21 years in Wisconsin, Ohio, Arizona, and recently in Reno, Nevada. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from Kent State and acquired this in order to better serve the children in my classroom with their needs. I believe that students learn best by doing. I am a very hands on teacher. I like when my students are out of their seats and making discoveries through experiments and exploration.
