I completed to Calculus III at Michigan State University, receiving a 4.0 in Calculus I. I tutored other students while in high school in math and science related classes. I completed AP Chemistry and AP Calculus in high school. While at Haslett, I took chemistry, AP Chemistry and then tutored a chemistry class and then completed chemistry and organic chemistry at MSU.
I do better when the student has a desire to learn the material. I prefer to explain problems and then have the student do them, with me giving feedback and helping explain the problem as we go.

I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Secondary Education and am certified in the State of Michigan to teach 6-12th grade English and math. Along with completing student teaching, I have substitute taught in various districts as well as tutored homeschool students. My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction.
After high school, I recognized in myself a desire to work with elementary- and high school-aged children.
