I am a recent graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering. My undergraduate studies have provided me with an extensive understanding of science (chemistry and physical science) and mathematics (algebra - I,II,III and trigonometry). I have been tutoring high school and college scholars for six years, and I was also the valedictorian of my high school in 2005.
I am confident I can help anybody receive the knowledge that is presented to them. The art of teaching is simple for me; find a way to relate the information specifically to that individual so they will learn and retain the information. As a mentor and tutor I have a very hands on style of teaching. I challenge my students with the Upward Bound Program to think outside the norms of their traditional boundaries. I encourage a diverse mind frame and point of view for various subject. Most of all I want my students to see their studies in everyday life and understand how each subject applies on a person level. My teaching style as well is always open and my doors and time is always devoted to those I teach so that their understanding of a subject is not limited to only the work load I present, but questions they present to me as a teacher.
