I believe in personal interaction with students – making them write, making them read – going over every detail, looking at the issues (grammar, punctuation, syntax, coherent structure (logic, unity, transitions, parallelism,)) and then re-writing and re-reading. The key to doing well in English is understanding basic structure and making it become second nature when writing. Through personal interaction, the process can be simplified by working hands on with each sentence and paragraph. A student learns best when he/she actually reads and writes and has someone to work with on the structure – through a workshop type approach – writing and re-writing. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a BBA in Accounting. I am currently completing my MS in Accounting through the University of Connecticut through their distance learning program. I earned a 3.0 at Texas A&M while working a full-time accounting job and I currently have a 3.93 at University of Connecticut, whihc I have also earned while maintaining a full-time job. I have worked with students through substitute teaching and tutored many students while at Texas A&M in accounting.
I have a unique passion for the world of accounting and have a desire to share that passion with other students. I enjoy being able to work with children and being able to positively impact their lives whether that be through empowering them to succeed or teaching new skills.
