My primary objective in teaching Spanish is to develop the four basic skills of communication which are understanding, speaking, reading and writing Spanish. Emphasis is put on the student to have an active command of the language especially in the areas of oral proficiency, grammar, and vocabulary. I have more than 30 years of teaching experience with a Master's Degree in Spanish. I have taught at different levels of the educational system from elementary to the college level. I have 15 years of teaching experience for the Las Cruces Public Schools. Before moving to Las Cruces I was a Spanish teacher at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell New Mexico. Through the New Mexico Department of Education I have a Level Three-A Instructor Leader K-12 Specialty Area License with endorsements in Modern & Classical Languages and Bilingual Education.
