A Little Bit About Me...

Being a mother of three adult children and a new grandmother, I adore children. Teaching Sunday School over many years has also brought me great joy. I also personally relate to a child's individual method of learning because I truly believe we all learn differently. There are no stupid or dumb children, only unique minds. A Little Bit About Me...

I teach to a mastery learning approach appropriate for language instruction. I present the material first in accordance with the text presentation, and then drill and quiz to ascertain the level of comprehension over the next several days. I ask all students to answer sample questions, and I am looking to see who does not understand what, and why. When deficiencies are discovered, I represent material in as many different ways as are ultimately needed to ensure comprehension and success.
I have been a high school teacher of Latin and ancient Greek, for three school years, and I spent an additional school year as a high school librarian and study skills course teacher.
